Under 8's play off winners 2004
Under 8's Lions
The club was founded in 1991 with a group of local parents getting together to provide somewhere for their children to play organised football. In the first year the club attracted around 15 players and in the 12 years it has been running it has grown rapidly to currently having membership of over 450 members. It is now one of the largest junior football clubs in the district and is still growing year by year.

Season 2004/2005 sees the club running 15 - 7-a-side boys teams , 3 - 7-a-side girls teams, 16 11-a-side boys teams and a ladies 11-a-side team.

The club has also an Under 6's section with the emphasis been on fun and trying to teach the players the basics.

The club has also forged a link with local senior side Salts AFC which will see a natural progression for players from junior to senior football.

The club became one of the first F.A Chartermark clubs in the district receiving the award in December 2001 following a lot of hard work to put together all the policies to comply with the criteria.
The clubs next step was to gain 'F.A Charter Development Club' in 2003 and it achieved this in July 2003.

This season will see all coaches and managers registering with the F.A CRB checks which is the latest requirement.

The club also offered the opportunity for managers and coaches to attend the 'F.A Junior Team Managers course' or 'Level 1' as it is now known and currently boasts 44 of these.
It also has 5 Level 2 coaches.

The clubs main fundraising event is its annual 5-a-side tournament which will be held at Sandals Primary School in Baildon.
There are competitions for Under 7's to Under 15's boys and for girls Under 10's / 12's and 14's.
Last years event attracted 268 teams with over 1800 players taking part.

The club is also involved in the Bradford City Memorial Cup at Easter and hosts players from the German team of Aplerbeck which is a district of Dortmund at age groups Under 12's and 14's.
The Shipley players then go out to Aplerbeck in October and this is an exchange that has now been going for the last three years.

The club has also forged a new link with Norwegian side Tromso for the first time this year.
